  Pear specialises in vinyl with over 15000 discs available. I found that Pat was very knowledgeable on all aspects of recorded music and was able to advise on rare and unusual tracks for a range of artists from the 50s up to date. If he doesn't have it in stock he can get it. The shop also acts as a hub for live music locally. Pat is a drummer and has played with the renowned folk/punk band You Slosh. He knows almost everyone on the local scene and is instrumental in nurturing local performers. As a service to the music community Pat will sell instruments and gear and will promote gigs and jams as well as matching up musicians with like minded souls.

  Pear. Pear is a fairly small, but large quantity of stock, store on the high street of Knaresborough. Owned by friendly, helpful and knowledgable Patrick, who is very proffesional in the business he runs, working in the music business for over 40 years. Owning over 1500 Vinyl records, I was sure to be lost for choice when choosing which ones to buy. Therefore, knowing where each section was in his shop, Patrick directed me to my favourite band, The Beatles, where there were many original records to choose from, eventually I chose ' A Hard Days Night ' for a, in my opinion, very good price. Although, it is not just records Pear sells. The shop also has many CD's, all placed and ordered correctly, DVD's, Badges, priced at a small, but profitable 50p each, ( an addition to the badges is that the owner is able to make any badge asked for, providing he is supplied with a picture from the customer) Merchandise, such as T-Shirts, and finally Concert Tickets. I have witnessed Patrick purchasing Concert Tickets for a customer and he was very quick and proffesional about it. As well as selling the items in his store, he is also able to purchase products online, for the customer to then buy and receive at his store when suited. He is sharp and informative about when the products arrive, sending either messages via text, E-mail, Facebook etc. Coming to a conclusion of this review for a shop I most enjoy visiting and browsing. It is, in my opinion, the best shop in Knaresborough. It provides proffesional assistance from the Owner, Patrick. The merchandise you were hoping to browse or purchase for excelent prices. And in general a fantastic store which completes the function it is there for.

  great record shop, visited countless times buy something new each visit, patrick is a great guy with a lot of knowledge on vinyl, (also a fellow drummer.) bought a philips fa650 integrated amplifier off him not long back for a bargain price and excellent customer service. 10/10 would recomend.
